Sean Dustin

From Federal Prison to being a Role model (part one)

Joining me for this conversation was a single Dad, Union blue-collar worker, and former drug addict Sean Dustin. The theme of the show was about creating a path of purpose through making positive life decisions. Sean spoke to his childhood, the lack of support system around him from a young age, and his style of learning, was based solely on experiencing events rather than listening to others. Fast forward to the present day, Sean now shares his past experiences of addictions, car accidents, and hardship through the Nowhere To Go But Up Podcast which, serves as a platform for Sean to share his story from the perspective of just being an everyday person. When asked for three pieces of advice to help someone struggling, Sean responded with "1. Find a Podcast that talks about the struggles you are going through, 2. Ask yourself the hard questions (self-searching) and 3. Figure out if you are a reactor or a responder when challenged by others" This episode highlights the importance of self-belief, self-reflection and learning that you are accountable for every single decision you make in your life.
